Stop Hunger Now

Stop Hunger Now is a non-profit international hunger relief organization headquartered in Raleigh, NC whose goal it is to end hunger in our lifetime. Volunteers package dehydrated, high protein, and highly nutritious meals which are used in school feeding programs around the world. For example, the School of Mercy in Haiti feeds its 260 students every day during the school year, and will continue to receive meals as needed for years to come.

Providence UMC regularly hosts packaging events. On November 27, 2011. we offered hope to the hungry by assembling 10,000 high-nutrition meals. On March 4, 2012 Providence UMC packaged another 13,422 Stop Hunger Now meals. Thanks to everyone for their ongoing support of this ministry!
