2012 Day of Service

Thank you for all your hard work March 4th at our Day of Service!  Together we served children in poverty and:

Celebrated our gifts at a lunch for 250 participants
Made cards for orphans in Nairobi, Kenya
Taped Easter greetings for the Wollins in Cambodia
Knit prayer shawls and preemie blankets for sick children
Assembled 900 snack bags for homeless children in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools
Donated over 2,000 diapers to Salvation Army Center of Hope
Made 13,422 Stop Hunger Now meals for students in third world countries
Organized donations for our Haiti Attic Sale
Shared lunch and played Legos with Cambodian children at St. John’s UMC

Thank you also to our babysitters, Girl Scout Troop 246, our photographers, and our staff.  A great big thank you goes to our Day of Service Chairpersons, Greg and Kathryn King, in addition to our team leaders!
