Bethlehem Star Tree
Available Sunday, November 17
Return Sunday, December 8
Share the Christmas spirit with a child in need!
Our church will be sharing the spirit of the season this year with 125 children in need. Stars representing each of these children will be available in the Atrium Sundays beginning Nov. 24. The stars contain the name, gender and wish list of a child served by Bethlehem Center. More than 1000 children, youth and seniors are served by Bethlehem Center.
This year, wish lists include:
* 3 and 4-year-olds: a hat, gloves, scarf and book
* Elementary-age children: a Christmas ornament, toothbrush and toothpaste and book
* Middle and high school kids:$25 gift card to Best Buy and a book.
Please return your gift by Sunday, Dec. 8. Donated items should not be wrapped. Contact Stacie Mobley or Marlene Trahan with questions.
Providence UMC Haiti Mission Trip
January 15 - 22
If you are interested in going on this trip to Haiti, please contact Jacquie Slack, email@example.com or 704.752.0574.
This is a wonderful mission opportunity to see God's work in action.
Attention physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners, and nurses! Our Haitian friends need your gifts and talents at The Haiti Mission next year. Join a medical team and become part of our 33 year success story in Haiti. Mission trips will be January 20-28, April 13-21, July 13-21, and October 12-20. Pediatricians and dentists are especially needed.
At Providence UMC, we strive to be good stewards of all that God has given us. Rather than throw away our household items, we donate them to one or more of our missions.
If you have a heart for foreign missions, please consider donating your treasures to our annual Attic Sale that benefits our Haiti School of Mercy, the Haiti Microcredit Program, and The Haiti Mission (medical).
"Whatever you ask in prayer with faith, you will receive."
- Matthew 21:22
Providence UMC partners with several missionaries and at their request, we offer specific prayers each week. For our missionaries we ask that you pray for respect for refugees and immigrant communities, an end to violence, continued financial support of specific programs, successful language learning, continued alliance with agencies in their respective communities, good health, travel mercies, the healthy growth of the church across the globe, ecological renewal, and most importantly, the Lord's guidance and wisdom.
Benefits Crisis Assistance Ministries. Take your donations to the white cabinet in the Catacombs (basement).
Benefits Loaves and Fishes. Place your donations inside the bench by our Parlor. Thanks to our Providence UMC Weekday School families for their ongoing support of Loaves and Fishes!
Benefits the Providence UMC Temporary Shelter programs. Place your donations inside the armoire by our Parlor.
