Confirmation is an opportunity for your teen to become a full member of the United Methodist Church. More importantly, it’s about becoming a Christian on purpose. It’s an invitation to our 6 th graders to make a life-forming commitment to Jesus Christ. In an effort to respond effectively to maturity differences, and accordingly, to age appropriateness, we have created a year-long confirmation process that will allow for a life changing experience. There is a lock-in in the Fall, a two night off campus retreat in the winter, and a two night retreat in the spring where they combine with the 7 th and 8 th graders. This is an excellent way to acclimate our 6 th graders into the Youth Ministry program. Our 6 th graders are then invited to attend our very own VBS in Atlanta mission trip where we lead a 3 day VBS for inner-city children in June and our Garden City Beach Retreat in July.
