Tara Ebner |

Tara Ebner serves as Minister with Children and Families. Tara grew up in southern New Jersey. Wanting to meet new people and to become a real southerner, Tara moved to North Carolina. She attended High Point University where she earned a BA (summa cum laude) in religion. Following her graduation from college, she fulfilled a lifelong dream when she went on a mission trip to China for one month. She then moved back to New Jersey to complete her MDiv at Princeton Theological Seminary. She has served in some capacity at St. Paul's UMC (Brick, NJ), Christ UMC (Greensboro, NC) and Providence UMC (Forest City, NC) before coming to Providence UMC in Charlotte.
Tara's interests include leading in worship, teaching Bible studies and pastoral care and counseling. She plans to pursue part-time studies in Christian Counseling in the future, and she also has a background in music, drama, and counseling women in crisis pregnancies.
In her spare time, you can find Tara at the gym. She enjoys weight lifting, step aerobics and cardio kickboxing. Her other extracurricular activities include reading and spending time with her German Shepherd, Trinity. |
