Teresa Dunn is a native of Charlotte, graduating from East Mecklenburg in 1987.  She served as a volunteer in Youth Ministry for 10 years at St. Stephen UMC here in Charlotte.  It was during this time that Teresa responded to God's call into Youth Ministry.  Teresa graduated from Pfeiffer University, Summa Cum Laude, in May 1998, majoring in Christian Education.  During her last semester at Pfeiffer, she began as the Director of Christian Education at a small church, Woodland UMC, in Rock Hill, SC.  It was there that she was able to confirm her gifts and her call into a specialized focus, which is Youth Ministry.  She moved from Woodland to Providence in December of 1998.  Teresa obtained a Master's Degree in Christian Education also from Pfeiffer University in 2000 and has recently declared her candidacy for Ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church.

Teresa also has worked as a Dance Instructor and Choreographer since the age of 13, including a tour throughout the country specializing in ballet, tap, and jazz.  From this experience, she is able to incorporate liturgical dance in worship and in other forms of ministry.  Teresa married David Dunn, also of Charlotte, in October of 1998.   Teresa and David are enthusiastic about serving at Providence and feel blessed to minister to such a wonderful group of Youth.
