
Disciple will take you through over 80% of the Bible in a 34-week period. You will be part of a small group of 12-15 participants and meet weekly for two hours. We welcome you to experience the life-changing impact of Disciple Bible Study. New classes begin every fall - the week of Labor Day. An orientation class may meet earlier.
Disciple I Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study - 34 weeks
This foundational study is an overview of the Bible using a thematic approach. The class is led to see God's Covenant with the people of faith through the Old and New Testaments. It is a very special journey for Bible students on all levels. This study will take you through over 80% of the Bible in the 34-week period.
Disciple II Into the Word Into the World - 32 weeks
(Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts)
Encourages participants to open up to hear what God has to say to them through the Bible and to be guided into service in the world by Scripture and their study of it.
Disciple III Remember Who You Are - 32 weeks
(Old Testament prophets and New Testament letters of Paul)
This study concentrates on the Old Testament prophets and the letters of Paul. Its themes are of the call to remember, the call to repentance, the need for renewed vision, and the place of community.
Disciple IV Under the Tree of Life - 32 weeks
(Portions of books: IChronicles, 2Chronicles, Ruth, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Lamentations, Daniel; and New Testament writings; Gospel of John, James, IJohn, 2John, 3John, Jude and Revelation)
The study conveys invitation, welcome, security, and rest - home at last through the study of Scripture. The readings lead the group through a sense of living toward completion, toward the climax of the message and the promise in the Revelation of John.
Christian Believer - 30 weeks
This study of the classical beliefs of the Christian faith aims at presenting, explaining, and interpreting Christian beliefs as the basic teaching of the church. This study is not offered this session.
Jesus in the Gospels - 30 weeks
Invites participants to look at Jesus in each of the four Gospels and ask the question, “Who is the Jesus that you see?" This study is not offered this session.
