POW - Providence on WednesdayJoin us for food, faith, fellowship and fun each Wednesday night Janury 11 through May 23, 2012.

Each Wednesday at POW’s ‘Destination Station,’ we will travel on a faith journey together and ‘visit’ different countries and places along the way. Enjoy a meal at 5:30pm in the gym, (Charter Hall) followed by a Bible study (‘Journey through the Bible’) at 6:30pm in the Chapel with Rev. John Fitzgerald.  No preparation is necessary for the study; come as you are! Pick up your ‘passport’ to be stamped each week to be eligible for prizes later.

POW  Preview of Coming Attractions
   We have exciting food, faith and fun awaiting us at POW: Destination Station this winter season. If it has been awhile since you attended ‘Providence on Wednesday’, make plans to come onboard for our upcoming ‘destinations.’ We are averaging 130 persons for our ‘travels’ to different locales including delicious meals, followed by Rev. John’s ‘Journey through the Bible’ study at 6:30pm. Coming soon … Shrove Tuesday pancakes on Tuesday, February 21 with our Youth vs. Youth Leaders basketball game “Nothing but Nets” -  Imagine No Malaria Campaign and a Mardis Gras Jazz Band; a ‘Lego Building Contest and Lego Robots’ on March 7; to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, tasty shepherd’s pie on March 14 and the Walsh Kelley School providing an Irish dancing demonstration. Bring your ‘passport’ - join us for a great mid-week faith and fellowship time with your church family.

Childcare

Childcare is available for infants through kindergarten age during the meal. You may also supervise your older elementary age children on the playground from 6:30–7:00pm.Regular Wednesday Activities

Regular Wednesday activities include:

  • Children's Choirs: Cherub A (four year olds), Cherub B (five year olds), Wesley Choir (Grades 1 & 2) and Carol & Junior Choir (Grades 3, 4, & 5)
  • Disciple I Bible Study
