Room In the Inn (RITI) is a very special ministry at Providence. Partnering with Roof Above , RITI offers a unique way for people to become directly involved with individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Each Wednesday night from December to February, we provide overnight shelter for our neighbors in need. When you take part in this ministry, you will experience the teachings of Jesus Christ in many ways.
As a greeter welcoming our neighbors into the mission center, you will see firsthand how your simple words will change a person's day. You will see the love of Christ bring a smile to those who feel that no one cares about them.
When you interact during the evening, you will realize that we are all God's children and that we are here to help each other.
When you see the great issues our neighbors are facing, you will receive a huge measure of gratitude for what you have been given and you will want to do even more.
This ministry truly defines what each of us as Christians are being asked to do by Christ. Love one another.
I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. - John 13:34-35
