Meet Tyris Washington

Tyris Washington is a musician, educator, and worship leader serving at Providence United Methodist Church. He brings a background rooted in Gospel and Jazz to the worship life of The Net contemporary service.  For Tyris, the love of God and the love of music have never been two separate things — playing has always been a form of prayer, and leading worship is simply that prayer shared out loud with a room full of people.

He is the owner of The House That Rocks, a music school in the Charlotte area where he and his team teach more than 250 students, he also performs regularly in the Charlotte area.  Tyris  is also an international musician that has performed around the world in several countries. 

Outside of music, Tyris will happily argue that Chicago deep dish is the only pizza worth the wait.
