ROOF ABOVE
Roof Above works to end homelessness across Charlotte by focusing on shelter, food, and providing guidance for a better life. Providence UMW makes and delivers sandwiches to the Roof Above Soup Kitchen twice a month throughout the fall and winter. Members also volunteer to cook and serve.

HAITI MISSION
A mission initiative in Northern Haiti, which began at PUMC over 40 years ago, continues to provide support to the Tovar Clinic through The Haiti Mission Foundation, as well as to education projects, clean water wells, micro-finance lending, and New Hope Hospital. Providence UMW raises funds annually to support our neighbors.

WHAT'S NEXT?
What’s Next’s mission is to open doors for urban youth by mentoring and building life-long relationships while providing educational support and life skills to develop character, confidence, and faith in Christ. Providence UMW donates time, funds, and food to help these young people achieve their goals.

DOVE'S NEST
As a part of Charlotte Rescue Mission, Dove’s Nest is a cost-free women’s recovery program providing shelter, guidance, and accountability for women on the path to addiction recovery. Providence UMW serves lunch and visits with guests every month plus donates funds, supplies, and other necessities so the women know they are loved and supported.

UMAR
UMAR’s mission is to promote community inclusion, independence, and growth for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through residential, employment and cultural enrichment opportunities. UMAR members may participate in a UMW circle and other UMW events, and UMAR benefits from a Providence UMW fundraiser.
